Movember at Byron Burger

By now every fucker out there must know it's Movember?  In short you grow a dirty tache and make some money for charity.

Byron Burger has got right behind the cause and for everyone taking part that's raised £25 or more you can claim a free burger.  That's every day till the 20th of Nov.

I wanted to try out the Movember special Mo burger and see if it could put any more hairs on my lip!  Put together with the help of burger expert Fred Smith, formerly of the Admiral Codrington, it consists of a beef patty topped with cheddar cheese, pickled red onion, salted cucumber slices, shredded iceberg lettuce, and mustard dressing.

I was pretty pleased with the end result; the salted cucumber especially is an amazing addition to any burger and certainly one I'll be trying at home.  As with Byron's other offerings it was of a pretty high standard, well cooked and seasoned meat, great seeded bun, the shredded lettuce and mustard dressing was a great touch as well.

You can follow my Movember experience and maybe donate a few pounds as well here.

  1. I have had this burger as well as the Byron at the soho restaurant.
I felt really disappointing. it felt almost without taste, unseasoned both the burger. not impressed with the fries.
I had been to Byron only once before (in their restaurant somewhere around old street) and I had the Chili Queen, which I was quite happy about.

The day after I went to Honest and redeemed myself for not queuing there before and deserted to Byron instead.

Nevertheless Kudos for Byron for their Movember support! I have been doing it for 5 years now, and because I don't live in london I haven't yet managed to take advantage of the free burgers! one day!

    1. Hi Ganda

That's such a shame; I had mine at the Wardour Street branch as well and mine was good! I didnt get round to trying the chilli queen but heard good things. On the afternoon I went they must have had at least twelve other guys in the branch doing exactly the same thing as me so kudos indeed.
